Stephanie Innes is a Phoenix-based journalist for The Arizona Republic/USA Today Network. She previously worked at The Arizona Daily Star, the Tucson Citizen and the Arizona Daily Sun and was named Arizona Virg Hill Journalist of the Year by the Arizona Press Club in 2017 and Arizona Journalist of the Year by the Arizona Newspaper Association in 2015. In 2016 she earned a National Sigma Delta Chi award for feature writing from the Society of Professional Journalists for a series about a family with a hereditary form of Alzheimer’s disease. She is a native of Toronto, Canada and co-authored two Canadian children’s books based on her family’s experiences during World War I and World War II.
